Edelman’s Government Services team brings together expertise in effectively reaching audiences at the national and community levels, with an in-depth understanding of the specialized nature of government contracts. To this offering, we further apply specific industry knowledge in areas including health care, science, the environment, transportation, food and nutrition and consumer and social marketing to deliver clients award-winning results.
We are well-versed in the intricacies of working with government agencies – including navigating federal clearance processes, developing web-based materials, meeting Government Printing Office requirements and achieving contract goals on time and within budget. We manage costs without compromising quality or creativity.
Beyond government agencies, we have also worked for and with key government stakeholder groups, such as political advocacy organizations, health care providers, employers and policy organizations. For these, and all of our clients, we provide myriad services to engage with target audiences, including: strategic counsel, media relations, research and market analysis, issues and crisis management, education and advocacy programs, event management, materials development and production, online monitoring and engagement and advertising (paid and PSAs).
For instance, we are the firm that executed a comprehensive media push for the National Children’s Study, led by the HHS through the NIH, CDC and the EPA. Our work included a Spanish-language media tour, delivering key messages to an additional 4.7 million people through local and national outlets. Another illustration of our work is partnering with Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to help convey to clinicians and the public the meaning of US Preventive Services Task Force recommendations on health screenings.
