EDELMAN APPOINTS NEW LEADERSHIP OF GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY PRACTICE

August 15, 2006, New York -- Edelman, the world’s largest independent public relations firm, announced today that it has created a leadership team to run the firm’s global Technology practice. The team includes Director of U.S. Technology and President of A&R Edelman Bob Angus, Managing Director of Technology in London Jonathan Hargreaves, and Managing Director of Edelman Southeast Asia Bob Grove. Bob Angus, who joined Edelman when the firm acquired A&R Partners in May, will chair the new leadership team.

The group is structured with the goal of collaborating on Edelman’s global technology vision, making key decisions affecting the practice and supporting global clients, while each leader will focus on business development within his region.

Edelman’s global Technology practice is comprised of more than 250 practitioners representing clients includes Adobe, Akamai, Avaya Autodesk, CA (formally Computer Associates), Canon, Citrix, Computer Sciences Corp, Microsoft, Palm, Samsung, Symbol TSMC and Wi-Fi Alliance. The previous global Technology practice Chair, Pam Pollace, has left the firm to join the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation as communications director.

Bob Angus, as co-founder of A&R Partners, has built one of the U.S.’s most respected tech PR firms. A twenty-five year industry veteran, Bob is one of the industry’s leading figures and has counseled many of Silicon Valley’s leading companies.

Bob Grove has nearly two decades of experience in communications, with nine of them in Asia including time in Hong Kong and Japan. Now based in Singapore, Bob serves as Managing Director of Edelman Southeast Asia. He has advised some of the world’s leading tech brands including: Alcatel, Dell IBM and Microsoft among others.

Based in London, Jonathan Hargreaves has over 12 years of PR and corporate communications experience, specializing in international campaigns in the technology. For the last two years he has been leading global communications strategy for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the corporation responsible for globally managing the assignment of domain names and IP addresses. Additionally, he currently leads the Orange account at both group and UK level.
