Located blocks from the center of U.S. government, Edelman’s Washington, D.C. office brings a public affairs perspective to all aspects of our work. Whether it’s helping a client cultivate an echo chamber of supporters, or creating pitch-perfect messaging around a divisive issue, we draw upon our understanding of how Washington works to help clients manage issues and reputations. Our staff of 225 includes former journalists, campaign veterans, political speechwriters, White House staffers and legislative aides.
But our work extends far beyond Capitol Hill. We serve clients in areas including corporate affairs, food and beverage, health care, energy, technology, and international affairs. From project work, to national campaigns that integrate our in-house partners at Edelman Berland, Grassroots Enterprise and MATTER, we help clients proactively tell their stories and navigate challenges in all parts of the world. While we bring a disciplined communications approach, we also bring creativity and innovation through tools like Multiplier, our pioneering software that combines website management, grassroots advocacy, social media engagement and deep data analysis for intelligence at our fingertips.
To our staff, being inside the Washington Beltway means being part of a vibrant urban community. We participate in the DC PR holiday food drive, organize volunteer groups to serve hot meals at So Others Might Eat, and share our knowledge by tutoring in neighboring schools.
E Fact: The Edelman Washington, D.C. office features a player piano in one of our conference rooms—a tribute to our beloved colleague and former vice chairman Michael Deaver, who earned his way through college by playing piano in a cocktail lounge.
