At Edelman, we recognize not everyone has a life as fortunate as ours. This is why as part of our “Summer of Service” global pro bono efforts our offices around the world have supported hunger and poverty alleviation through a pro bono partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger. As part of these efforts, Edelman Munich has worked to come up with creative public relations ideas to support WFP. From creative tactics to meet-and-greet sessions with journalists – the Munich office has taken everything into account!

Below is an overview of some our efforts:

Let’s Help Party
Our creative team developed a concept for the fiftieth birthday of the WFP in Germany and came up with a variety of innovative tactics including an oversized paint by number birthday card!

Let‘s Shout It Out
Facebook – that’s where the action is! For this reason our digital experts showed the WFP how to implement the latest social media trends into their own Facebook page.

WFP Goes Media
Edelman organized an editorial tour for WFP to meet with prominent German lifestyle media. Through this editorial tour, the WFP will be introduced to a network of key contacts that can also be engaged in the future.

WFP Goes Public
Even when they’re not at their desk the employees of the Munich office show high performance. Our employees envision a WFP info booth in the city centre and will ensure that no pedestrian passes without stopping for a short chat.

Star Cooks for WFP
Who has heard about the new cook book by WFP? No one? Edelman is about to change this. From Amazon to eBay, from local malls to bookstores; Edelman Munich is checking on every possibility to make sure the cook book gains additional visibility!

Distributions from A to Z
No matter how thrilling a press release might be – without a suitable distribution list it fades away. Our press team is helping WFP broaden and enhance their distribution list to ensure their next press release will produce lots of coverage!

Share Your Meal
Edelman Munich doesn’t just support the WFP with its workforce, but also financially. For the monthly employee breakfast that is sponsored by the office, for once we won’t go shopping but cook our own food in the kitchen! The money saved will go directly to the WFP and will provide hungry children around the world with meals.
