After a series of measurement errors on Facebook video campaigns came to light last quarter, Twitter disclosed a bug in its Android app that overcharged some advertisers in November and December, inflating video metrics by up to 35%. The social platform has fixed the issue and offered refunds to impacted advertisers.
Instagram rolled out a new update which allows live photos to be converted into Boomerangs – the platform’s program that creates mini looping videos. Users can now post both these and GIFs onto Instagram Stories. The platform also now supports wide color capture and display throughout the app for those with iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, fulfilling all goals from their September announcement.
