Jon Harris serves as Senior Vice President, Global Communications for Sara Lee Corporation (NYSE: SLE), where he oversees all aspects of integrated communications for the Fortune 500 company and its extensive line of high-quality food, beverage, household and body care products. Harris is responsible for managing the company's international network of communications professionals and a multi-million dollar budget that includes corporate communications, employee communications and internal/external public relations.

Harris had previously served as Vice President, Media Development and Communications for Sara Lee Food & Beverage and Foodservice, the company's two most profitable divisions, where he was responsible for leading marketing communications for the company's core food and beverage brands, including Sara Lee, Ball Park, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Senseo and State Fair, among others.

Prior to joining Sara Lee in 2005, Mr. Harris served as Vice President, Communications and Corporate Development for Bally Total Fitness Corporation, where he led media development, public relations, product placement and image marketing for the Company's six brands. During his four-year tenure, Mr. Harris spearheaded a complete overhaul of the Company's communications strategy, initiating an aggressive public relations program that contributed to a significant boost in new member sales.

Previously, Mr. Harris led communications at OurHouse.com preceded by four years at Pepsi-Cola Company in Purchase, NY. Among his many roles at Pepsi-Cola Company, Mr. Harris served Senior Manager of Public Affairs and headed up communications efforts behind the Company's core brands and marketing initiatives. Earlier in his career, Mr. Harris worked at Ketchum Public Relations and Medicus Public Relations, where he oversaw public relations activities and programs for various Fortune 500 companies.

One of the most respected and recognized public relations practitioners in the country, Mr. Harris has won numerous industry awards including the 2003 ACE Award for "Publicist of the Year" from the NY-IABC.

Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Rutgers University and resides in Northbrook, IL with his wife Allison and three children.
