I accepted the Paladin Award tonight from the Public Relations Society of America on behalf of my late father, Dan Edelman. Dan Edelman’s passing had a profound effect on so many – his family, friends, colleagues, and our industry. While I have only been at the firm for two and a half years, it deeply touched me too. It has been a month since my father died. I wanted to give you a bit of the back story on the months leading up to his passing and express my appreciation for the outpouring of support for my family in the wake of his death. It has been about two weeks since the passing of my father, Dan Edelman. In my comments at the memorial service, I highlighted how my father was a global citizen. They were each leaders of extraordinary talent and vision. They each treasured their children and grandchildren, put others before themselves and had a dramatic impact on my life. There will never be another Dan Edelman—indomitable, ever modest, always resilient, and ready for the next challenge. Please join others and share your memories of Dan. iTunes, Android and PDF downloads now available. Read the book about our founder and firm. A look back at Edelman.com's most read posts of 2012.
