Edelman and the Rise of Public Relations has been a year in the making, with Franz Wisner conducting hundreds of interviews and sorting through my father’s school years and war-time memorabilia. The result is the first real history of public relations as a business and a lovely tale of a family committed to the success of the enterprise.
To celebrate the firm’s 60th anniversary, our 60+ global offices participated in 60 days of volunteerism and fundraising to benefit the WFP and other organizations. I’m happy to announce that we contributed more than $1 million in monetary and in-kind donations.
Edelman released our second citizenship report yesterday, titled, “It’s Who We Are.” It is our effort to be accountable to stakeholders, including our clients, employees and civil society.
“Walking the talk” is part of what we do. Being responsible global citizens of the world we live in and giving back to the communities where we operate are long-standing traditions and important aspects of Edelman’s 60-year legacy. It’s who we are.
