Edelman announced today the appointment of Kevin Coleman as General Manager of Health in the Edelman Chicago office, effective January 22.
Coleman joins Edelman with deep agency experience, including his most recent role as General Manager and Growth Strategy Officer at GSW Worldwide, a top full-service healthcare advertising agency. Coleman led the firm’s US and global engagements with Amgen, Lilly, Biogen and Gilead, as well as business development with some of the agency network’s largest clients including Johnson and Johnson, Lilly, Genentech, Biogen and Pfizer.
Coleman brings a proven track record of success for clients in health care professional, consumer and managed markets, where he delivered US and global insight-driven programs that aligned communication strategies with value propositions for health care products and services. Coleman returns to Chicago after eight years at GSW in various executive leadership roles. Prior to joining GSW, he founded and led Coleman Partners, a full-service, award-winning, advertising agency in Chicago for seven years. Before that, he was with the ImageCare healthcare agency, and spent years in product development and research roles at Abbott Laboratories, and Northwestern University Medical Center.

Coleman succeeds Will Collie who has been appointed General Manager of the firm’s Southern California sub-region.

Coleman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Creighton University, and a Masters of Science degree from Loyola University of Chicago. He has published scientific research in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, and the Journal of Biochemical & Biophysical Research Communication.
