Thomas Crampton joined Edelman as Global Digital Chair in January 2019, heading a global team of more than 1,000 digital experts. Offering a wide range of services, from e-commerce and experience design to content and social customer care, Edelman Digital was named the 2018 Digital PR Agency of the year by the Holmes Report.
Immediately prior to Edelman, Thomas focused on growth and innovation as global consulting principal for Marketing Transformation at Ogilvy's consulting arm, Ogilvy Consulting. There, he led a team that helps companies from a wide range of industries undertake strategic change and digital transformation. Prior to that he was global managing director of Social@Ogilvy, Ogilvy's 1,500-person global social media practice.
Before joining Ogilvy, Thomas worked as an entrepreneur-in-residence for an Asian media tycoon.
Thomas began his career as a foreign correspondent for The New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. For nearly two decades, Thomas reported on politics, economics, culture, business and technology, based out of Europe, Asia and North America. A frequent public speaker, he has delivered keynote speeches at many events and universities, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, SXSW, Cannes Lions, DLD, Stanford University, Tokyo University and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
