Thirty- Year Agency Veteran Will Oversee Operations of the Firm’s Largest Region
NEW YORK, May 13, 2025 – Edelman has appointed Ginger Porter as Chief Operating Officer for Edelman U.S., effective June 2. Porter succeeds Dan Webber, who will now serve as Global Chief Quality Officer. Porter will report to Kirsty Graham, CEO of Edelman U.S. In his new global role, Webber will report to Matthew Harrington, President and Global COO, and continue reporting to Graham for his U.S. leadership responsibilities in D.C.
As U.S. COO, Porter will lead efforts to strengthen operations and accelerate strategic growth. She will focus on streamlining the U.S. structure, improving collaboration across teams, and enhancing resource planning to support smarter AI integration—all to better serve clients in a rapidly evolving market.
“Ginger is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of delivering exceptional client outcomes, driving innovation, and fostering talent,” said Graham. “She brings more than 30 years of deep industry and agency experience, along with a client-first mindset that aligns perfectly with our vision for the U.S. business. As our U.S. operations begin to turn a corner and return to growth, her leadership comes at a critical and exciting time. I’m deeply grateful to Dan for his leadership and steady hand during a pivotal period. I look forward to continuing our partnership as he helps elevate quality and consistency across the Edelman network.”
Porter joins Edelman from Golin, where she spent 23 years, most recently as Global Chief Client Officer, Innovation Lead, and a member of the global executive leadership team. In her role, she drove growth and strategy for several Fortune 500 brands and spearheaded innovation initiatives across the agency. She brings deep leadership experience in integrated communications, brand strategy, and client service. Before her global role at Golin, she served as President of the Central Region, leading the agency’s largest market in Chicago, and previously as Managing Director of Golin Texas. Under her leadership, the agency earned the industry’s first Cannes Lions for earned-first creative with McDonald’s and helped win and grow clients including Grubhub, Cisco, Merz Aesthetics, and NAPA Auto Parts.
“It’s an honor to join Edelman at a time of transformation and momentum,” said Porter. “Edelman’s impact, its roster of world-class clients, its legacy of bold, creative work, and its expansive global footprint are what drew me here. I’m excited to help shape the next chapter of growth and innovation alongside this incredible team.”
In 2023, Porter was named a PRWeek Woman of Distinction. A Baylor University graduate, she is a founding board member of the Communication Leaders of Chicago and serves as a regular contributor for Harvard Business School’s HBS magazine in her role as AMP 201 class officer.
As Global Chief Quality Officer, Webber will drive client service excellence, innovation, and performance across the network. He will define and uphold quality standards for partnerships, deliverables, and leadership, while working with AI teams to optimize staffing and enhance output. Webber will continue to work on key clients as he did during his time in the COO role.
Webber has been with Edelman for over two decades, previously serving in senior leadership roles across corporate, crisis, digital, and public affairs. As COO of Edelman U.S., he played a central role in strengthening operational effectiveness and client satisfaction, helping guide the region through a period of structural transformation.
