Mitch Markson, president, consumer marketing and global creative director, is responsible for campaign development and the strategic and creative direction of client programs. Mitch also develops intellectual property for the firm, including goodpurpose™, a new way to engage consumers and brands to work together to take action and effect positive social change for mutual benefit.

Gary Grates, president and global managing director, Edelman Change and Employee Engagement, oversees the employee engagement and strategic organizational communications practice. Gary has more than 20 years of corporate, marketing/brand, labor, merger/acquisition and strategic communications experience with a particular expertise in change management/employee (internal) communications. Gary has counseled a number of national and global organizations including General Motors, Caterpillar, Shell, Carrier, Novartis, Mellon Bank, Mobil, Zeneca, British Airways, Coca-Cola, The McGraw-Hill Companies and Dell.

Daniel J. Edelman, founder & chairman of Daniel J. Edelman, Inc., parent company of Edelman and Zeno, the fifth largest independent PR firm, is the recipient of Columbia University's Distinguished Alumnus Award and the John Jay Award for Distinguished Professional Achievement. In 1999, the China International Public Relations Association presented him with the first-ever Outstanding Achievement Award "for bringing modern public relations practices to China." For more than half a century Dan has been at the forefront of the industry and is credited with pioneering many of the techniques that are now staples.

Janice Rotchstein, chief quality officer, created and oversees Edelman's Quality Initiative in response to the increasing complexity of managing multinational and multipractice business and to the firm's tremendous growth. Janice works with the Edelman Executive Committee and a global task force. She manages company-wide enhancement programs and monitors their use. She oversees the firm's client relationship assessment system that measures client satisfaction and recognizes employees' contributions.

Matthew J. Harrington, president & chief executive officer, U.S., is a 20-year Edelman veteran and has responsibility for the firm’s U.S. business, representing approximately 65% of the firm’s worldwide revenue. Matthew is a specialist in corporate positioning and reputation management. His expertise includes crisis communications, merger and acquisition activity, initial public offerings, and the establishment of investor relations programs for companies in a variety of industries.

Rob Rehg, president of Edelman's DC office, has worked in public relations, politics, public affairs and journalism for more than 20 years. During his time at Edelman, Rob has counseled clients on reputation management, corporate communications, crisis and issues management and mergers and acquisitions. His clients at Edelman have included: American Automobile Manufacturers Association (Chrysler, Ford and General Motors); American Airlines; AT&T; BankBoston; Nissan; Siemens Transportation; USAir; UNOCAL; S.C. Johnson; and the governments of Chile, Portugal, Korea, Malawi, Angola and India.

Heather Conway, chief executive officer, Edelman Canada, is responsible for overseeing more than 130 staff in the company’s three regional offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Conway is recognized as one of Canada’s most accomplished marketing and communications executives and in her various leadership roles has been responsible for broadcast and entertainment marketing & publicity, affiliate relations, CSI marketing, and government and public affairs, including the sponsorship and donations programs. Her professional experience also includes work for a variety of consulting firms where she supported clients in the development and execution of public relations, communications and government relations strategies.

Victor Malanga, executive vice president and worldwide chief financial officer is responsible for managing Edelman and overseeing Zeno’s global financial operations. Vic oversees financial strategy and planning, budgeting, auditing, treasury, legal functions and financial systems, as well as contributes to business planning. Vic supports the firms’ mergers and acquisitions and oversees company insurance, contracts and agreements, corporate level negotiations including real estate and major supplier and client contracts.

Gail Becker, president, Western region, Chair Canada & Latin America, brings a breadth of experience encompassing consumer marketing, technology, public affairs, entertainment and healthcare. Gail provides strategic counsel to a range of clients including the National Association of Broadcasters, Nissan and Microsoft Corporation. Gail joined Edelman after serving as vice president of publicity and communications at Warner Home Video where she was charged with spearheading the global public relations introduction and launch of the DVD format on behalf of Warner Bros. and Time Warner, leaders in development of the technology.

Alan VanderMolen, president, Asia-Pacific, is based in Hong Kong, overseeing the operations of fourteen offices in nine countries. VanderMolen specializes in corporate positioning, public affairs, marketing and organizational communications, issues management, market expansion and regulatory consulting. He has expanded Edelman in Asia by 30% in two years.

Bob Grove, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, serves as the Managing Director for the Southeast Asian region. He has 20 years experience in marketing and communications, with ten of them in Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan). In his various leadership roles, Bob has provided communications counsel including corporate social responsibility and issues management, as well as brand and go-to-market strategy, across a broad range of industries for private and public sector clients, from government-led public initiatives, business-to-business and technology marketing, to consumer campaigns, such as the promotion of mobile phones and retail banking.

Patrick McGuire, President, US Creative Planning & Services, with over 20 years in marketing and agency public relations, has earned a deserved reputation as one of the country's most innovative consumer strategists. With the highest standard of quality, style and substance Patrick has instilled his unmistakable flair into hundreds of campaigns over the years for some of the most recognized names in American business, including Nissan, Johnson & Johnson, Columbia Sportswear, Benetton, Nintendo, Pepsi-Cola, Eddie Bauer, Muzak, AT&T, Amazon.com and many more. Prior to joining Edelman, Patrick founded and ran his own marketing public relations firm, WHaM Communications. In April of 1999 Edelman acquired WHaM, naming Patrick to his current position.

Richard Edelman, president & chief executive officer, has extensive experience in marketing and reputation management, with current assignments for Schering-Plough, Swiss Re and Gap. He has counseled several countries on economic development programs, including Egypt, Israel and Mexico. He serves on the board of directors of the New York Historical Society and Centers for Disease Control Foundation. Richard also is a member of the World Economic Forum, the Arthur W. Page Society, PR Seminar, the International Council of the Field Museum, and the World Corporate Ethics Council.

John Edelman, Managing Director, Edelman Global Engagement & Corporate Responsibility, is responsible for evolving the firm’s global citizenship and CSR platform including sustainability, social issues engagement, pro bono/community, corporate philanthropy, diversity and corporate responsibility. He also serves as President of the Edelman Foundation.

Richard Sambrook, Chief Content Officer, London is global vice chairman and chief content officer, taking a strategic lead on developing media content for clients and heading the crisis and issues practice.

Previously, he was a 30-year veteran of BBC News where most recently he was director of Global News, responsible for radio, TV and digital services for 230 million people each week. Sambrook is a regular speaker at the World Economic Forum, and elsewhere, on digital media and he served on the Advisory Group for the United Nations Internet Governance Forum.

Katie Levinson Burke is Chief of Staff for Edelman. Based in the New York office, Katie works alongside members of the firm’s Executive Committee and manages key elements of the firm’s global strategy. She is also one of the firm’s leading media trainers.

Derek Creevey is Chief Administrative Officer for Edelman. Based in the New York office, Derek reports to the CFO and oversees the firm’s Information Technology and Marketing.

Nancy Ruscheinski, president & chief operating officer, U.S., has experience that spans the full spectrum of public relations programming, from consumer events and corporate positioning to publicity, production and issues management. Nancy also founded the firm's interactive and creative services groups, which has grown into a $10 million+ in-house creative unit providing design, media, interactive and meeting/event production to Edelman clients and offices throughout the U.S.

David Brain, president and chief executive officer, Europe, Middle East, & Africa , is responsible for the growth and development of Edelman's second largest geographical region with 529 people and $79 million in revenues. His track record highlights his senior-level experience in corporate positioning, brand marketing, technology and public affairs work - all on international programs.

Mike Seymour, international director for crisis and issues management, is responsible for crisis consultancy and support across markets internationally. In addition to bringing his experience of multi-market projects, he works with local offices and management teams in leading and coordinating cross border responses to serious issues and crises. Mike is a widely experienced risk manager and crisis counselor, who has worked alongside senior management in handling issues that could impact negatively upon a wide range of national and international businesses and industries.

Mark Hass, president, China, joined Edelman in January 2010, assuming leadership of one of China’s largest PR firms with two brands – Edelman and Pegasus – and more than 165 employees. With offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, Edelman and Pegasus in China represents clients including 3M, Anheuser-Busch, BMW, China Unicom, The Carlyle Group, General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, Nike, PepsiCo, Pfizer, Shell, Starbucks and Wal-Mart. Mark is based in Beijing.

Nancy M. Turett, global president, Health, chairs Edelman's health practices — more than 300-specialists-strong — in Rx health, consumer health, health policy and public affairs, health branding, life sciences, health media, health alliances, clinical trial support, and sister medical education and publishing firm BioScience Communications. A member of the Edelman Executive Committee, Nancy leads the firm’s global corporate citizenship initiative, dedicated to universal youth education. Nancy brings a holistic approach to addressing societal issues such as health empowerment, aging society, and universal youth education. Nancy is a trusted counselor for companies, NGOs, health providers, universities and associations.

Robert Holdheim, Managing Director, India serves as country manager for India. Based in Delhi, he is responsible for additional offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. Rob is a veteran of Edelman's Frankfurt, London and NY offices where in his various leadership roles, he has provided corporate positioning, business-to-business product marketing, and crisis management counsel to a range of corporate and governmental clients including British Department of Trade and Industry, Harley-Davidson, LinkedIn, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Samsung, Suzlon Energy and UPS. He speaks English and German fluently, Italian and French proficiently, and has studied Arabic and Hindi.

David Gilbert, Global Head of Human Resources, New York is responsible for managing global human resources strategy development and execution, change management, talent recruitment, career pathing/career mapping, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and workforce planning. He works with the geographic leaders and human resource managers on a number of fronts, including global best practices, training, and mobility.
