Chamberlin to Lead Data, Security and Privacy Practice

Edelman today announced that Chris Manzini has been appointed general manager of its Dallas office, effective immediately. Manzini takes management responsibility reins of the office from David Chamberlin, who will remain in Dallas and lead the agency’s data, security & privacy practice.

Manzini most recently served as Edelman’s global lead for the agency’s Shell Oil business in London, on which he will continue to be a strategic advisor. During his time working on Shell, Manzini worked on the ground in over 40 markets on every continent creating a global perspective on business with his diverse leadership team. Prior to that role, Manzini led Edelman’s corporate practice in Los Angeles, where he managed clients including Volkswagen and Experian.

As general manager of the Dallas office, Manzini will assume management responsibility for the office, lead a talented pool of communications marketing professionals and serve on the regional leadership team. Today’s announcement comes on the heels of recent appointments the agency has made in the region, including naming Steven Behm as president and Helen Vollmer as chair of Edelman South, moves that highlight the agency’s continued investment and growth across the region.

“We are building a leadership team that focuses on attracting and retaining great talent who deliver exceptional work to clients,” said Vollmer.  “Dallas was Edelman’s first office in Texas and it continues to be a flagship of excellence for us in the state and beyond. Chris’s appointment to this role is a signal of the agency’s continued and growing commitment to serve global as well as regional clients in the marketplace.”

“I’m excited for this next chapter in my career at Edelman. I joined the agency in 2002, and since then have been given so many brilliant opportunities to expand my own skills and experiences, tackle challenging client briefs, and work with and learn from inspiring people all over the world,” said Manzini. “I look forward to helping our clients in Dallas realize the full potential of communications marketing to drive positive business outcomes and equally am eager to work with our leadership in the South to create the same types of opportunities I’ve had at Edelman for our teams here.”
