The Firm’s Fourth Office in Mainland China Rides on Government’s Greater Bay Area Plan
Edelman China today announced the opening of a new office in Shenzhen. The firm’s fourth office in Mainland China will provide a wide array of capabilities and services with specializations in corporate communication, integrated marketing solutions and helping Chinese brands to go global. The office will serve national and international clients including Tencent Social Ads and Vivo mobile phone.
“We are now well poised to match our core China, Hong Kong and global capabilities with the pillar industries in Shenzhen – hi-tech, culture and creativity, modern logistics and financial services. ” said Jesse Lin, Edelman APAC CEO. “Our best resources will be available to clients for their growth and helping them to shine on the global stage.” Lin added.
The opening of the Shenzhen office rides on China’s national initiative known as The Greater Bay Area Plan, at the Pearl River Delta covering Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and another 7 cities in Guangdong province. The objective is to become a global hub of innovation, finance, shipping and trade, playing to the strengths of the provinces we have a presence in while maximizing synergistic effect.
