Former Chief Economic Advisor Kish Rajan Joins Firm
Edelman today announced the appointment of Kish Rajan as senior vice president and senior advisor in its Public Affairs practice. Rajan, former director of GO Biz, will be based in Edelman’s Sacramento office, adding to Edelman’s public affairs expertise and expanding its leadership in the state.

Rajan joins the Edelman team with 20 years of experience in government and the private sector. In 2012, Kish was appointed by California Gov. Jerry Brown to lead the newly formed Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO Biz). His directive from Governor Brown was to enhance California’s job creation effort. During his tenure, California grew significantly to become the world’s seventh largest economy. Rajan is now returning to the private sector to lead advocacy efforts to modernize and grow California’s economy.
Rajan joins other notable California public affairs leaders on the Edelman team, including campaign veterans Steve Schmidt and Bob Shrum, as well as former officials from the Schwarzenegger Administration. The addition of Rajan from the Brown administration further illustrates Edelman’s bi-partisan public affairs expertise.
