Current CCO of Edelman New York has over 20 years of experience connecting brands and consumers through purpose-driven creative work

Edelman, the leading global communications firm, announced today that Jimmie Stone was appointed chief creative officer of Edelman Latin America. Stone will continue to serve as CCO of Edelman New York, in addition to his expanded role. Born in Venezuela, Stone will lead and develop a strong community of creatives around Latin America, building on the legacy of Eduardo Cisneros in Mexico and Rogerio Gonçalves in Brazil.

With over 20 years of experience connecting brands and consumers through purpose-driven creative work, Stone is part of the 600-plus person creative team within Edelman.

In New York, he leads a group of over 100 creatives and has driven both financial success and award-winning campaigns for clients such as REI, Unilever and Samsung. Before Edelman, he was the Partner and Chief Creative Strategist at Green Team for over 14 years, where he helped co-create an agency culture of creativity and purpose focused on vital social and environmental issues.

Stone has judged almost all the major award shows and along with his team, has won many of them throughout his career, including Cannes, Clios, D&AD Impact, the International Design Award from ID Magazine and the United Nations Integrity in Advertising Award.
