Terry Wade to Lead Energy & Corporate Portfolio in Houston

Edelman today announced the appointment of Terry Wade as SVP and head of the energy and corporate communications offerings in its Houston office. Wade was most recently Houston bureau chief for Reuters, where he led a team of journalists covering the energy sector. He will oversee a diverse range of corporate communications clients, ranging from energy to chemicals to financial services. In the energy sector, he will lead Houston’s energy portfolio which spans upstream, downstream, renewables, power and professional services, along with business development efforts.

Prior to leading the bureau in Houston for Reuters, Wade reported throughout Latin America for 13 years as a correspondent in Brazil and bureau chief in Peru. He began his career in New York City with a financial and investment advisory firm where he structured municipal bond financings and re-financings. Over his nearly 20-year career, Wade has gained expertise in energy, mining, financial markets, macroeconomics, crisis situations, politics and Latin America.
