Edelman has appointed Susan Isenberg, currently the firm’s client lead for Johnson & Johnson, global sector chair, Health, effective immediately. Isenberg, a 25-year veteran of Edelman, will look to develop new health-focused IP, drive new business and client relationship development while building out the firm’s subsector expertise, specifically in health tech and bio tech. She succeeds Kym White, who left the firm back in March to join Vertex, a biotech company. Isenberg will be based in New York.

Prior to leading the Johnson & Johnson account, Isenberg was global vice chair for the Health Sector overseeing the U.S. Before that, she served as managing director for both the Health and Consumer Marketing divisions in Edelman’s New York office.

Isenberg has led several award-winning programs including Together Rx, on behalf of a number of pharmaceutical clients, and most recently, Hit Play, on behalf of DePuy Synthses. She has also served as a member of the Executive Committee of PhAME (Pharmaceutical Advertising and Marketing Excellence). She has also authored a number of articles about health communications.
