Peter Petros

For the past seven years, Peter has co-led the firm’s global legal function. In addition to continuing on with his global legal responsibilities, Peter was appointed as the global privacy officer in 2012 where he works with our leaders to ensure that the organization has appropriate policies and procedures in place related to privacy and the handling of personal data.

Before joining Edelman, Peter was a senior corporate attorney in Abbott Laboratories’ legal department. Prior to that, he practiced law at the law firms of Duane Morris and Bell, Boyd & Lloyd (now known as K&L Gates LLP) in Chicago. Peter also worked in AT&T’s Law and Government Affairs Department and previously served as an honors program law clerk in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.

Peter received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Indiana University and his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law. Peter resides in Chicago.
