Edelman today announced the appointment of Margot Edelman as Deputy General Manager, New York, and Jordan Rittenberry as General Manager, Bay Area Hub. Edelman returns to New York after seven years in San Francisco, where she most recently ran Edelman’s Bay Area operations. Rittenberry most recently served as Chairman of the Middle East & Africa.

Edelman was General Manager of the firm’s 175-person Bay Area Hub, where she drove double-digit growth with new client wins such as DoorDash and Intuit. She will now oversee operational excellence, marketing, and new business efforts for Edelman's 800-person New York office — the firm’s largest globally. Edelman will report to Oscar Suris, who joined Edelman earlier this year as President of the New York office. She will also oversee Edelman’s New York Corporate team.

Rittenberry, a 15+ year Edelman veteran, was most recently responsible for nearly 200 Edelman staff across five offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Johannesburg, Nairobi and Riyadh. In this role, he helped establish the firm’s African presence with major global brands, including Unilever, Coca-Cola, Spotify, and Deloitte. In his new role, he will report to Edelman U.S. CEO Lisa Osborne Ross.

“During their long tenures with the company, both Margot and Jordan have embodied the Edelman values of relentless pursuit of excellence, curiosity, courage and impact,” said Ross. “I have the utmost confidence in the impact Margot will have in New York, given the impact she’s had leading the Bay Area, and am thrilled to see Jordan in this next chapter. They are both strategic-minded operators who love the business as much as they love Edelman. I can’t wait to see how my high expectations are exceeded with enthusiasm, excitement, and excellence.”

A member of the third generation of the Edelman family to work at the firm founded by Dan Edelman in 1952, Edelman was recently named to WEF’s 2022 class of Young Global Leaders. In 2021, she was named one of PRWeek’s “Women to Watch.”

Edelman and Rittenberry will assume their new roles effective June 1st.
