New York, May 31st, 2023 - Edelman today announced the appointment of Pam Scheideler as its U.S. Brand Chair. Scheideler, who joined Edelman in 2020 as its U.S. Head of Digital, will assume the role effective immediately.

“Building a trusted brand demands action and two-way engagement at scale in a constant, cross-platform cultural conversation. Pam has a demonstrated track record of doing just that – which makes her the right leader to take our Brand Practice forward in a world where action earns trust,” said Edelman U.S. CEO Lisa Osborne Ross. “Brands at their best are changemakers, and so is Pam. She sees things others don’t and sees what’s next. She’s bold and brave, future-oriented, and committed to her craft.”

Scheideler will report to Ross and will maintain her role as U.S. Head of Digital. She succeeds Smita Reddy, who is now global chair of Edelman’s food & beverage sector and beauty lead.

Since joining Edelman in 2020, Scheideler has re-set Edelman’s social offering, resulting in a string of social AOR account wins, including LinkedIn and Hallmark. Under Scheideler’s leadership, Edelman has brought culture-shifting ideas like Sports Illustrated’s “Pay With Change” and Vaseline’s “See My Skin” to life while also investing in production innovation.

“Edelman’s commitment to building active brands is unique,” said Scheideler. “Our Trust research tells us that active brands win – and building active brands requires all the tools of Edelman, from purpose and strategy through execution. I’m excited to continue to build alignment from within our client organizations to connect with our audiences in ways that are true to the brand’s role in the world.”

Scheideler joined Edelman from R/GA, where she most recently served as managing director of R/GA’s Los Angeles office. Prior to that, she was chief digital officer at Deutsch, LA and has also held senior positions at Google Creative Labs, JWT New York and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
