Edelman’s Global Women’s Executive Network (GWEN) today announced a partnership with the International Women’s Forum (IWF), a global organization focused on the advancement of women leadership across careers, cultures and continents.

“GWEN’s objective to increase the presence of women at the most senior levels at Edelman has made tremendous strides since the network was launched,” said Gail Becker, president of strategic partnerships and global integration, and lead of GWEN. “Our partnership with IWF helps us continue our mission toward minding the gender gap, while providing women at our firm with opportunities to network with global leaders.”

GWEN was launched by Edelman as a recruiting, collaborating and career-planning group for women within the agency.  The program focuses on establishing an environment where women are encouraged to lead and succeed.

IWF, founded in 1982, has more than 6,000 members across 6 continents and represents 33 nations and is committed to advancing better leadership through training, mentoring and connectivity. The organization provides a platform for women leaders of significant and diverse achievement to be inspired, empowered and informed about the key issues shaping  the ways in which people work, live and lead.

Edelman will partner with IWF at its two global conferences, including the IWF’s World Cornerstone Conference in Johannesburg, May 20-22 and again for their World Leadership Conference in Boston, October 28-30. Edelman will serve as Premier Sponsor for both IWF conference events. Additionally, the ongoing partnership will allow executive-level Edelman women to complete the IWF training programs and will provide an opportunity for junior level women to support the organization’s C-Suite and Board with ongoing communications marketing needs.

IWF is known globally for its leads training programs for rising women leaders through the Executive Development Roundtable, the Leadership Foundation Fellows program, and the EY Women Athlete’s Business Network.
