Agency’s Growth Across Region Mandates New Talent Investment

Edelman has named three new senior hires to serve clients in the firm’s brand, health and corporate sectors – three growth areas across the Southwest region.

Edelman appointed:

Lucky most recently served as EVP of the brand practice in Edelman Chicago, where she developed and executed leading-edge integrated marketing programs for household consumer brands leveraging channels such as earned digital, social, brand experience and advertising to get consumers to take action. Lucky also sits on Edelman’s U.S. Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Council, helping Edelman deliver on its commitment to diversifying its workforce and maintaining an inclusive environment. Prior to Edelman, Lucky was a vice president with Burrell Communications, a prominent multicultural marketing agency. Lucky also has extensive brand management experience, having worked as marketing manager for global corporations including Accenture and Motorola. Lucky will partner with Edelman leaders across the three Texas offices to provide strategic and creative counsel and support to a diverse client portfolio.

  • Kate Burton as senior vice president, head of the Southwest health sector. She will be based in Edelman’s Houston office. Burton’s professional experience spans health-industry-focused agency and in-house marketing communications and management roles across biotech, pharma and consumer health care. She has advised and managed client relationships across various phases of commercialization, brand identity and positioning, strategy, creative, messaging and execution. She most recently co-created and served at a CLIA-certified microbiome lab focused on microbiome-based cancer biomarker discovery. Burton is leading a team of highly specialized practitioners working for an array of Edelman clients including health tech companies, managed care providers and hospitals and health systems. Burton will also help serve as client lead on global accounts.

  • Brooke Taylor, as senior vice president, head of the Dallas corporate practice. Taylor’s professional experience includes developing and implementing programs designed to build brand reputation through integrated communications programs, including executive thought leadership, employee engagement, media and influencer relations and digital content strategies. Most recently, Taylor served as senior vice president, client experience at Weber Shandwick where she supported data-driven, integrated programs to build brands, drive revenue growth and create engagement and advocacy for Fortune 500 brands, national non-profits and local start-ups.
