Susan Isenberg is the CEO of Salutem, a Daniel J. Edelman specialist agency dedicated to helping health-centric companies solve vital challenges in today’s globalized and increasingly convergent B2B2C health sector.
A 27-year veteran of DJE Holdings, Susan has overseen and developed integrated corporate and brand communications programs to support some of the world’s leading health companies, including AstraZeneca, Bayer, Bausch & Lomb, Merck, Novartis, Pfizer and Roche/Genentech, to name a few. She also has worked on behalf of hospitals and other medical institutions, and provided issues and crisis management counsel.
Previously, Susan was Global Chair, Health, Edelman where she oversaw Edelman’s global network of more than 400 health specialists. Susan also served as Global Client Relationship Manager for Johnson & Johnson, where she was responsible for helping ensure the client’s global strategy was integrated into all communications, managing the core client team and aligning consistent activation in local markets.
Susan has led several award-winning programs for clients, Together Rx on behalf of a number of health companies, and “Hit Play” for DePuy Synthses. Susan has served as a member of the Executive Committee of PhAME (Pharmaceutical Advertising and Marketing Excellence), and is an ongoing contributor to health communications publications.
Susan has also served as Global Vice Chair of Health for Edelman, overseeing the Health business in the U.S. as well as Latin America and Canada. Additionally, she was Managing Director of Health in Edelman’s New York office for more than eight years.
