With over 14 years of tenure at Edelman, Tristan Roy is currently the Global Chair of Edelman’s Digital team, a global, award-winning network of over 700 professionals built to thrive amid the full complexity of today's modern marketing. Tristan and his team help some of the world's largest companies evolve, promote and protect their brands through a wide range of solutions, including social strategy, performance marketing, e-commerce, digital advisory, connected experiences and technology, content strategy and execution, influencer, crisis and much more.
In his previous role as Global Chief Operating Officer of Edelman’s Digital team, Tristan worked to operationalize Edelman’s digital capabilities and communities across the global agency network, building entrepreneurial team cultures that maintain a startup metabolism for the generation of new and innovative ideas. Tristan has worked on clients ranging from Unilever and Walmart to BlackBerry, Samsung and HP.
In addition to running Edelman Digital in these regions, he played a leading strategic role in operationalizing and driving the business strategy for Edelman’s other specialty areas in Paid Media, Research, Measurement and Analytics, Technology, Strategic Planning & Creative. Other roles at the agency include serving as Acting General Manager of Edelman Montreal, leading a large digital team as Regional Client Relationship Manager for BlackBerry in North America and his time as a key figure in the strategic and day-to-day management of Walmart, counseling their senior communicators and business executives on digital communications and social strategy.
Tristan is a recipient of Edelman’s “Michael K. Deaver Award” and a graduate of Edelman’s Leadership Academy. He is a Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina, where he majored in English.
