Nina leads Edelman Smithfield in Canada. Over the past 15 years, Nina has provided strategic counsel related to normal course executive and financial communications, as well as complex mandates including hostile and friendly takeovers, shareholder activism, leadership changes and crisis and reputational challenges.
Nina has advised on some of Canada’s largest and/or most high-profile transactions and special situations. She specializes in leading large-scale, complex and cross-border transactions, particularly at the intersection of brand trust and public policy.
Nina drives Edelman Smithfield’s work with financial institutions and has been the client lead for well-known Canadian and global companies, such as TD, CPP Investments, Manulife, BlackRock, T. Rowe Price, Scotiabank and the Canadian Securities Administrators.
Nina holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from McGill University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College. She completed the Canadian Securities Course.
