The 2026 Edelman Trust Barometer Special Report: Trust and Health reveals a healthcare landscape where trust remains exceptionally strong, even as AI becomes increasingly embedded in everyday health decision-making.
UAE respondents report high levels of confidence in finding answers about health questions and making informed decisions, strong trust in doctors and health authorities, and some of the highest rates of AI adoption among surveyed markets.
Together, these findings point to a healthcare ecosystem where innovation and trust are not competing forces, but are advancing together to support more informed and empowered consumers.
Nearly six in ten UAE respondents use AI to manage their health, well above the global average. From finding health information to supporting everyday health decisions, AI is becoming an increasingly important part of the healthcare journey.
While confidence in making health decisions has declined globally, UAE respondents continue to report high levels of confidence. Seven in ten (70%) say they are confident in finding health information and making informed decisions.
Health misinformation is widespread, with 70% of people believing at least one of six divisive health claims about foods, vaccines, and medicines. This underscores growing confusion, and the need for clear, credible, and trusted guidance.
