Today, Edelman announces the launch of Edelman Business Marketing, a new unit focused on using modern integrated marketing to drive demand and revenue growth for business-to-business clients.
Edelman Business Marketing brings together earned media, editorial and content marketing capabilities including audience development, enterprise branding, channel planning, creative, account-based marketing (ABM), marketing automation, sales enablement, experience design and CRM to help B2B companies deliver material business results. Current clients include Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Shell, HPE, and Businessolver, among others.
“Client demand for our integrated B2B marketing services has increased dramatically over the past several years,” said Jim O’Leary, Practice Chair, Corporate Affairs and Advisory Services at Edelman. “We’ve found that despite significant adoption of martech, many B2B companies are struggling because of a lack of editorial instinct and an overreliance on technology. Our approach to content marketing is both editorial and data-driven, supporting lead generation, pipeline acceleration and revenue attribution.”
Edelman has named six executives to the Edelman Business Marketing U.S. leadership team. Joe Kingsbury, Managing Director, will oversee a team of more than 40 dedicated specialists across the U.S. Additionally appointed:
- Kate Cooper, Senior Vice President based in Chicago, will lead the Midwest.
- David Whiting, Executive Vice President based in New York, will lead the East.
- Ben Laws, Executive Vice President based in Seattle, will lead the West.
- Marisa Puthoff, Executive Vice President based in Atlanta, will lead Atlanta.
- Jake Parrillo, Executive Vice President based in Chicago, will lead Account Based Marketing for the U.S.
“These highly experienced leaders across the U.S. will enable us to successfully scale our capabilities across the full range of communications, marketing and technology disciplines required for B2B companies to succeed,” said Joe Kingsbury. “Our network of specialists—many coming from journalism, ABM and the technology platforms—allows for dedicated, powerful storytelling with modern content marketing that will boost tangible business value for clients.”
