Mustafa advises clients across all areas of communications, with extensive experience in corporate reputation, complex issues and crisis, ESG, capital markets and profile-raising matters. He has a record of strategically positioning companies and their leaders to optimize their brand and relationships with key stakeholders including employees, investors, customers, and the media.

He has advised a range of companies across industries, including Alibaba, BNP Paribas, Dell, Digital Currency Group, Fidelity, Pfizer, Saudi Aramco, Silver Lake and Warner Bros Discovery.

Business Insider has featured Mustafa as a leading communications advisor helping companies prepare to IPO.

He joined Edelman after seven years at the Brunswick Group. Previously, Mustafa was an investment banker at Citi and Nomura. He received a BA with a major in Economics and concentration in Middle East and Asian Languages and Culture from Columbia University, as well as an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Mustafa is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Economic Club of New York, a founding member of the next generation board of the Brookings Institution, a member of Chatham House and serves on the Young Leadership Council of Global Kids, a New York City-based non-profit. He was selected as a “Next America Fellow” by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and was named a 40 Under 40 Emerging Leader by M&A Advisor.
