The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism’s Digital News Report 2019

On Wednesday 12th June, Edelman UK will host the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism’s Digital News Report 2019.

The report, which has a powerful track record of predicting developing trends, contains detailed analysis of the way people in 38 countries, including the UK and US, read and absorb their news.

This year’s report explores consumers’ reactions to the shift to paid content and the implications of the rise of messaging apps, all while asking if misinformation is pushing people towards more “reputable” brands, if we’ve reached “peak podcast”, and much more.

Rasmus Nielsen, Director of the Reuters Institute, and Nic Newman, Research Associate and Lead Author of the report, will be joined by our expert panellists including:
Moderator: Jo Sheldon, Executive Director of Media Strategy, Edelman
Katie Vanneck Smith, Co-Founder and Publisher, Tortoise Media
Naja Nielsen, Digital Director, BBC News
Anna Bateson, Chief Customer Officer, Guardian News & Media
Jess Brammar, Executive Editor, HuffPost UK

The event will be live streamed on Facebook and available to watch below.
